What this tool shows you

When you visit a website, your browser answers questions automatically: what does text look like when you draw it? Which graphics processor renders this page? Which fonts are installed? How does the audio engine process a signal? Individually, each answer is unremarkable. Combined, they can form a profile — a browser fingerprint — that recognizes your browser across visits and across sites without a single cookie.

This analyzer runs the same five measurement techniques that fingerprinting scripts use, then explains each result instead of hiding it: what was measured, where the data came from, how much it could distinguish your browser from others, and what you can realistically do about it. It reports observations, not verdicts — no invented scores, no uniqueness percentages, and no promises.

The five tests

Canvas draws a fixed image and hashes the pixel output, which varies with graphics hardware, drivers, and font rendering. WebGL reads the graphics vendor and renderer strings your browser reports. Audio renders a silent test signal and measures the exact numbers your audio engine produces. Screen reads resolution, pixel ratio, and color depth. Fonts measures rendered text to infer which fonts are installed.

Test, change something, test again

The most useful feature is change detection. Run the analysis once to set a temporary baseline in page memory. Then change something — enable a privacy extension, switch on your VPN, toggle a browser setting, resize the window — and press Run again and compare. The analyzer highlights which signals actually changed and which did not. Many people are surprised: a VPN, for example, changes your network address but typically leaves every device-level signal untouched.

Honest about limits

No page can tell you whether you are "unique among N million users" without a database of other users' fingerprints — which this site deliberately does not have. Instead, each test is rated for its potential distinguishing power (Higher, Moderate, Lower, or Unavailable) with an explanation of why.
