Summary

The Browser Fingerprint Analyzer runs entirely in your browser. Fingerprint test results are never uploaded and never stored — not by this site, not anywhere. The analyzer creates no cookies, uses no persistent browser storage, requests no permissions, and calls no external fingerprint API. 0 uploaded, 0 stored, no account, no permissions, runs locally. Separately from the analyzer, this site displays third-party advertising, described in section 4 below.

1. Fingerprint test data

When you run the analyzer, your browser reads values from its own APIs (canvas pixel output, WebGL parameters, audio samples, screen properties, and font measurements) and computes hashes of them locally. These values and hashes are displayed to you on the page and exist only in the page's JavaScript memory. They are not transmitted to this site's server or to any third party, and they are not written to cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB, sessionStorage, or any other storage. Refreshing or closing the page deletes them.

2. Comparison baseline

The change-detection feature keeps your first run's hashes in a JavaScript variable on the current page so a second run can be compared against it. This baseline exists in current-page memory only and is destroyed on refresh, navigation, tab close, or when you press "Clear results."

3. Server logs

Like virtually all websites, the web server hosting this site may automatically record standard technical logs when pages and files are requested (such as the requested URL, timestamp, IP address, and browser user-agent string). These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure for operation and security, are not used to identify visitors, are not combined with any analyzer output — analyzer output never reaches the server at all — and are not shared for marketing purposes.

4. Advertising, cookies, and tracking

The analyzer and this site's own code create no cookies and include no analytics or tracking pixels. Your fingerprint test results are never shared with anyone, including advertisers.

To keep the site free, pages load an advertising script from Monetag (a PropellerAds brand). This is the only third-party code on the site. When ads are served, the advertising provider may process information such as your IP address, general location, browser and device characteristics, and pages on which its ads appear, and it may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. That processing happens under the provider's own privacy policy, available on its website (monetag.com), not under this site's control.

You can limit ad-related processing through your browser's cookie and tracking-protection settings, and residents of some regions have additional rights (such as opting out of personalized advertising) exercisable through the provider. Content-blocking extensions may prevent the ad script from loading; the analyzer works either way.

5. External services

This site uses no external fingerprint API and loads no remote fonts. All of the site's own assets are served from fpdetector.com; the only third-party JavaScript is the advertising script described in section 4.

6. Email

If you email yo@fpdetector.com, the contents of your message and your email address are used solely to respond to you. Please do not send fingerprint results by email; they are not needed to answer questions.

7. Children

This site is an educational tool, collects no personal information through its analyzer, and offers no accounts. It is not directed at children, and no data is knowingly collected from anyone.

8. Changes to this policy

If this site's data practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date. Because the core design — no upload, no storage — is the site's founding principle, material changes are not anticipated.

9. Contact

Questions about this policy: yo@fpdetector.com or the contact page. For a technical walkthrough of the claims above, see the privacy audit.
